    hi,,
hope to have a reply regarding the “remarks” on the emirates website, that candidates should know how to speak cantonese or mandarin…
    Thank you..

      Dear TJ,
To my knowledge and from my friend’s experience of attending EK Open Day in Singapore, all candidates don’t need to be able to speak Mandarin or Cantonese. Mastering a second or third language is always useful for this position, however EK only requires the candidates to have good command of English. Besides, EK recruits people from all over the world, including China mainlands and other countries speaking Mandarin or Cantonese. Each step of the recruitment is held in English, too, so you don’t need to worry about not being fluent in Mandarin or Cantonese. Anyway, just give it a go and attend the Open Day. Who knows what the result will be in the end of the day, right?

      • TJ- October 7, 2011 at 10:36 AM

        thank you.
        yah, i will still try..
even if im not fluent in mandarin or cantonese..
im just worried, coz it will be conducted by SASS Atlantic agency,
and they might be not allow me to apply since im not singaporean neither PR.

      • dearmarintan October 7, 2011 at 10:42 AM

There was an Open Day in Indonesia in 2010 and SASS agents were there, too. Guess what? Not only Indonesian but candidates from Singapore, Phillipines and even India went to the Open Day! It is open for anyone, no matter you are residents of the host country or not. So don’t hesitate and do your best~
