We will be conducting a recruitment exercise for Flight Stewardesses in Jakarta. If you meet the following requirements, we will be pleased to meet you at our walk-in interview.
Date: 11 August 2012 (Saturday)
Venue: Jakarta Design Centre (JDC)
Lotus Room, Level 6
Jl Jend Gatot Subroto 53,
Slipi – Jakarta
Registration will be from: 9am to 3pm
Requirements
* Indonesian citizenship
* Minimum age of 18 years old
* Females who are at least 1.58m in height
* University degree holder or Diploma 3 holder with some working experience
* High level of English proficiency
* Willing to be based in Singapore
Training
Our comprehensive 4 months training programme will cover topics such as:
* Product Knowledge including Food & Beverage
* Service Procedures
* Passenger Handling
* Deportment & Grooming
* Language & Communication Skills
* Safety Equipment Procedures
* First Aid
On successful completion of training you will commence flying duties.
Remuneration & Service Benefits
A monthly allowance will be provided during training. Upon graduation, you can look forward to a basic salary and various allowances amounting to about SGD $3,500 a month. In addition, there is an annual wage supplement of one month’s basic salary and profit-sharing bonus. You will also be entitled to free travel to any SIA destination once a year and enjoy discounted travel at other times.

Sepenglihatanku kemaren di updo semuanya, supaya keliatan lebih neat. Iya setelah dicek semua dokumennya oke, terus diukur tinggi sama beratnya. Kalo ga sesuai langsung di cut. Katanya SQ ketat banget soal itu, tinggi kurang 1cm aja langsung disuruh pulang.
Kamu kemarin ikut WI Qatar ya? Cuma drop CV aja?
Oh, tapi kamu tetep bisa lanjut ke tahap selanjutanya? Kemarin sempet diinterview sedikit ga?

Kamu udah punya SKL belum? Kalo udah, bisa ikut ko. Waktu itu aku tanya ke salah satu recruiter di sana, asal ada dokumen yg mention kalo kita udah lulus bisa ikutan. Recruiter itu juga bilang, paling lambat graduationnya december 2012, kalo lewat dari itu harus ada supporting document lagi yg harus disiapin tapi aku ga nanya apa. Begitu 🙂

Hai,,I joined the interview and surprisingly it’s not so crowded that day— they opened until 3 o’clock registration and i think not more than 300 candidates attended the walk in interview..
As usual they held some body measurement,, then 10 candidates in a team must introduce theirself plus their opinion about “what service is,,” then if you passed that session they asked you to do some English test,,
If you passedit, They asked you to come for the next round at the next day,,
there were two interviewer with you in one room.. It’s just casual conversation and they asked you to wait the result outside, then they gave you invitation letter for the final interview on September 1st,, that’s all what I know…

Hi! I realized I missed the recruitment date! Does anyone know when the next recruitment date is? ): And are the interviews in Bahasa Indo or in english? I’m indonesian but since I grew up overseas, my Bahasa indo is pretty bad. Any help? thanks! ^~^
@arum ,, Maaf baru balas .. Iya, so the final interview was good 🙂 hehehe we all came based on the given scheduled from the golden ticket ,, and that day, errr I got my turn a lil bit late.. There’re a lot of candidates..I found it more than 50 names on the list..(morning batch 21 candidates,,afternoon 41 candidates),,, then.. We were called to fitting the kebaya,, little walk (not a catwalk ofcourse.. No stewardess do catwalk on the plane rite? Heheheh) i think they just want to see if we had a good posture while walking .. Then skin check.. And remeasure our weight and height.. If we passed it, there was management round ( we were still wearing the kebaya for the final round),,
Final round: there were two man on a big room, we (each candidate) entered the room and just had a conversation– (people call it personality question?So just be yourself Hihihi) if you passed it,, they will asked you to complete the document and fill some form– they will ask you to do medical checkup before a given date,,, and just pray everything’s gonna be alright ,,,, 🙂
@natali.. There will be walk in interview at Singapore this September 22nd– it will be opened for 9 nasionalities,, you can join also 🙂 anyway,. From my experience, if you do not use bahasa as your first language ( but you’re still wni) they will ask you to do some reading passage / article in bahasa Indonesia.. Hehehehe

Thank you for your reply, L! I thought the walkins held in SG are for SG and malaysians only? But for the interviews held in Jakarta, it’s mostly held in Bahasa Indo is it? Was yours in english?
In that case, I’ll have to study my Indo T-T I won’t be able to pass interviews held in Indo. Can you request for English interviews? >.<

All the interview processes are in English natalie,, ,, if they have some doubt on your bahasa then they will ask you to read Indonesian newspaper or something like that.. Hehehe..– I was told by my friend– hehe
And yes sometimes they do open walk in interview for 9 nationalities ( female ),,, you can check it in their website,,, 🙂

Mmm I think the result is so subjective… Let me share— I have more than 1 friend whom allowed to postponed their management interview for the recovery ( from all the acne ,, back acne,, pimple etc) ,, I mean.. The checker seemed see some strong potential on yourself to bring Sia image.. So they ask you you to come back again on the next final interview ( can be 2 months later etc,,(￣^￣)ゞ) so, it’s so random but I think they are so kind 🙂 hehee
Basically the skin check; they wanna see your skin which not be covered by the Kebaya.. They wanna see below your knee, your back your hand.. Your face… From some blog I also read the checker are pro — they also check whether your skin is sensitive or not,, because if you have pimple — you’ll be grounded– mmmm

Hi Vina, it so depends on how obvious your scar… But we’ll never know what will happened if you didn’t try it,. 🙂 just do your best — do some special treatment during these waiting time, maybe you can do consultation with the specialist,,,, and cover it when the day comes,,, hehee

I always check both Indonesia and Singapore recruitment,,, because ya they sometimes allow 9 other nasionalities to join the interview in Singapore ( for female )
And about the outfit for the interview… Some expert suggest to wear office wear… But my personal opinion.. You can wear whatever as long as it represents your personality.. And the clue is… Singapore airlines looks for candidates who can be their representative in the future… Like you know, Singapore girl is more than brand image refer to Singapore airlines 🙂

Hai L.. Really need you suggestion.. I’ve counted my BMI and the result is 17. But standard BMI is around 18-20’s. Do you think i can join SQ interview in Surabaya on October 25 or i have to wait until my BMI reach the standard? I really want to go and try the interview but i afraid that i can’t past BMI test and make my journey from Jakarta to Surabaya useless. What do you think? Waiting your replay soon.. Thanks L 🙂
Hai elisa.. Actually when we pass all the stages on interview they will let us do the medical Checkup here in jakarta,,, Eye correction is allowed… You’re allowed to wear contact lens… And it’s so depend on the doctor that check you up whether you need further eye check up with the specialist or not,,,, in my case.. I do not wear any contact lens,, I’m just too honest to tell them that long ago, I’ve checked my eyes once,, and as i remembered the correction was only about 0.75 on my left eye… Then the doctor required me to meet the specialist and get “Surat keterangan mata sehat” arghhhhhhhh ,,,, （−＿−；）….. In other case, my friend who has minus 4.00 on her eyes are allowed to pass the checkup without any further test with the specialist… W(`0`)W,,, so random isn’t it? Hahahahaha —-
And Jessica,.. About the Bmi,, yes they are looking for candidates between (18-22) but I think it can be flexible as long as you show them the “SIA image” as I said on my last reply,,, hehe… I mean 17 is not really far from 18 rite? Hahaa.. As long as you’re not looked so skinny and unhealthy… As long as you can show them the “aura” it’s gonna be okey I think,, hahahah ( once again it’s only my personal thought ya ) hehe.. And Jess,,, you can still try to gain weight these days or wearing some heavy outfit in your walk in interview maybe? Hahaha on the first day they only measure us on whatever outfit that we wear hihihi (bad me– I gave you this cheating idea hahahah)
p.s- I’ve known people who pass this stage even she has Bmi above the standard,,, hehehe – me included– hihihi

About back acnes, I’ve talked about that before.. It’s so depended on the interviewer… And I have friends who were given chance to make it good,,, they were allowed to come back at the next final interview ( no need to do it from the first stage),,, *if they see strong image on you then they will not let you go easily*,,, so,, don’t worry dear,, 🙂
But yes, you must at least have smooth skin that uncovered by the uniform,,,（^人^）

Hi Jessie,,. I think the most important thing is your personality, when they talk to you they will see if you really want this job or not,,, they maybe see hows your effort to improve your English because if you really want this job and you have passion for becoming a good cabin crew, you will push yourself harder to be able speak in English or any other languages fluently because you want to communicate with the passenger and your crew team when you’re on duty later,,, 🙂
You must also remember that all te training will be given in English ,,, and you will be able to perform well at least if you know the language,, :),,
Hey, I think your English is pretty good,, maybe you just need to practice it more.. Read English textbook out loud, try to read you diary in English.. Watch movies without subtitle,, etc… It helps 🙂
However, friend of my friend wasn’t really good in English during the interview.. But she made it,, 🙂 she made the interviewer believes in her effort to get this job.. She also prove it by improve herself well .. Hehehe…

@Natalie walk in interview biasanya cuma satu hari aja. biasanya proses di walk in interview:
jam 9 mulai antri untuk dapet nomor peserta, submit cv dan dokumen2 lainnya, cek tinggi dan berat badan. itu tahap screening awal dan kalo ga memenuhi persyaratan awal, akan langsung disuruh pulang.
tahap kedua dihari yang sama, intro stage yg cuma beberapa menit aja. nah setelah lolos stage itu, biasa english test tertulis. depend on the situation, biasanya sih lanjut ke 1 on 1 interview. tp some cases yg tjadi di jakarta, besokannya baru dtg utk 1 on 1 (from my observation, this only happens when there are many many candidates)
aku dr jakarta juga dan dulu pernah coba interview yg di sbya (sepi banget candidatesnya), reaching the day before and leaving on the night sounds good kok. dulu aku malahan tektok di pulang hari cgk-sub. GOODLUCK 🙂
